The eMWRE kick-off meeting, held from February 3 to February 6, 2020, at Jordan University in Amman, had the primary goal of launching the eMWRE Project. Additionally, it focused on discussing the implementation of the eMWRE project, operational management, and identifying tasks and activities scheduled for the project's first year.
1ST STAKEHOLDER EVENT
22-25 NOVEMBER 2021, AMMAN, JORDAN
The first stakeholder workshop for the eMasters in Water Resources Engineering (eMWRE) program was held at Jordan University in Amman from November 22 to 25, 2021. It aimed to launch the program, introduce two pilot courses, engage stakeholders, and promote the eMWRE eLearning platform for regional research and open-source data education.
2ND STAKEHOLDER EVENT
1&2 MARCH 2022, AMMAN, JORDAN
On March 1 and 2, 2022, the second stakeholder event associated with the eMWRE project took place at the Dead Sea in Jordan. This workshop had a multi-faceted agenda, including the dissemination of final project outputs, sharing sustainability plans, engaging stakeholders in the integrated project, and providing education on stakeholder engagement
Study Tours- VUB, Belgium
In July 2022, the first study tours for the partners from Palestine and Jordan took place for one week at the VUB University, where partners got training in various workshops Overall, the workshops aimed to advance the field of environmental modelling in various domains and promote best practices and standards.

The VUB organized a comprehensive Drought Symposium, consisting of a two-day symposium, a one-day field trip, and a two-day hands-on training session. The event covered various aspects of drought, including its causes, impacts, and mitigation strategies. Topics encompassed advanced drought analysis techniques, assessing drought risks in a changing climate, nature-based solutions, early warning systems, citizen science, and the use of IoT for drought monitoring.
